Inspire the World

I have been thinking a lot about how to make this journey meaningful.

I know already that it will be meaningful to Matthew and me in many ways and I truly wish it will be the same for all the people that will follow our adventure.

Initially I thought about raising funds from this adventure for specific charities (e.g. Barnardos, ISPCA), however I now feel asking anybody yet again to contribute in the current climate may not be appropriate. So if financial sponsorship emerges that’s great, these charities would benefit.

I trust human beings to be kind and caring of their social group, yet again in today’s hard times, what I hear the most from the media is a lot of doom and gloom.

We seem to forget that just a few decades ago life was much harder than we can possibly imagine today, and for those of you who travel the world you know that life is still very hard for a lot of people around the world.

I belive that we breed what we focus on and if doom and gloom is all we see, it will be very hard to find the strength and determination to overcome any difficulty yet to come.

As I know many of you belive the same as I do, please find the courage in your heart to do a random act of kindness, it can be anything simple from helping a neighbor with the shopping bags to listening to a lonely person, smiling to the cashier when you pay for your groceries or find the courage to be the extraordinary human being you are. There are many ways to be kind you decide which one is the one for you! (by the way belive is not a misspelling, Believe = Be Live)

You know what to do, just stop and listen to what your heart and soul are telling you and just do it.

And when you have done it come back to this site and let everyone know what happened and how it felt. just write your story in my blog or send it to me at fabio@westrack.org and I will publish it. Let everyone know that there is kindness in the world.
